Photo series, 2022 – ongoing
“The Grey Zone” is a photobook featuring images from the series of the same name, which I have been working on since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in my hometown of Khutir-Mykhailivskyi. The book was published in early 2026, though the project itself is still ongoing.
This project is more artistic and poetic than documentary. The town is located near the russian border, which means living in constant coexistence with the very real threat of occupation and destruction. Yet despite this, there is still a lot of space for love, care, and everyday routine. This series is a story of the transformation of a place, a collection of love letters to Khutir and its residents.
